Autograph letter signed from Francis Turner Palgrave, London, to unidentified recipient [manuscript], 1867 June 4.

Palgrave expresses thanks for the gift of the recipient's work on Shakespeare's Sonnets, and he touches on issues of Shakespearean authorship of the Dowland madrigal from England's Helicon. With regards to the "Passionate Shepherd," Palgrave is "not able to trace him with anything like conviction." Addressed simply to "Sir." Written from 5 York Gate, Regent's Park N.W. and signed F.T. Palgrave.
